American Cancer Society (ACS)

Community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to tobacco control and eliminating cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.

American Heart Association (AHA)
Voluntary health organization dedicated to tobacco control and other health issues affecting heart disease and stroke.

American Lung Association of Wisconsin (ALA)
Voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing lung diseases and promoting lung health. ALA is actively involved in developing and supporting tobacco control programs through research, advocacy, and education. ALA coordinates Fighting Against Corporate Tobacco (FACT), Teens Against Tobacco Use (T.A.T.U.), and Not-On-Tobacco (N-O-T).

Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA)
12 agencies that serve educational needs in all areas of Wisconsin by enabling school districts to communicate with each other and with the Department of Public Instruction. Working on a regional cooperative basis, CESA economically and efficiently provides programs and services requested by local school districts and other public entities.

Department of Public Instruction (DPI)
Administers the Wisconsin Online Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS); administers grant programs for school-based tobacco use prevention and cessation programs; provides best practices information on school-based and school-linked tobacco programs.

Division of Public Health (DPH)
The Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, in DPH, administers the comprehensive state tobacco control program through contracts with statewide partners and funding to local public health departments and interventions through the regional public health structure. The Program also coordinates annual program planning for all aspects of the state program, and monitors effectiveness of the overall program and individual contracts.

Fighting Against Corporate Tobacco (FACT)
FACT is a youth-led campaign seeking to empower teens to make informed choices about tobacco by learning the facts about how the industry targets them. FACT youth are taking action statewide and in their communities to reduce youth tobacco use and prevent their friends from becoming targets of the tobacco industry.

SmokeFree Wisconsin
Advocacy organization working to promote smoke-free environments, prevent youth smoking, and ensure availability and accessibility of cessation services.

Tobacco Control Resource Center for Wisconsin
Supports state tobacco control programs and local coalitions by providing accurate, up to date, and evidence-based resources.

University of Wisconsin Center for Tobacco Research & Intervention (UW-CTRI)
UW-CTRI is a research/outreach and policy organization that focuses on treating nicotine dependence in the U.S. It provides the toll-free Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line for adults and youth (1-800-QUIT-NOW); delivers outreach services to health care providers in five regions of the state and disseminates best practice guidelines and cessation materials. The outreach program partners with Wisconsin hospitals, clinics, insurers and health systems to create sustainable policy changes to support the systematic treatment of tobacco dependence and ensure access to all residents.

University of Wisconsin Paul P Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center (UW-CCC)
UW-CCC provides administrative support and research based consultation and technical assistance to the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program and partner organizations on best practices in tobacco control as well as tobacco control policy.

University of Wisconsin Surveillance and Evaluation Program
The Surveillance and Evaluation Program works collaboratively with the state's Division of Public Health to develop, implement, and interpret results from systems for surveillance and evaluation of Wisconsin's Tobacco Prevention and Control Program.

Wisconsin Children's Initiative
The Wisconsin Children's Initiative is a campaign, involving over 500 organizations, to raise the price of tobacco by $1.00 in order to reduce youth smoking and to fund important heath programs like tobacco prevention and Medicaid.

Wisconsin Initiative on Smoking and Health (WISH)
Advocacy organization with a focus on smoke-free restaurants and campaign finance reform; provides information to help restaurant operators make the conversion; maintains smoke-free dining; tracks lobbying activities and tobacco industry contributions.

Wisconsin Medical Society
The professional association for Wisconsin physicians, the Society is concerned with a broad range of health prevention and access issues. It works closely with other health advocacy organizations for a strong state and national tobacco control program. It is the state affiliate of the American Medical Association and has affiliated county-level medical societies.

Wisconsin Network on Tobacco Prevention and Poverty
The Wisconsin Network on Tobacco Prevention and Poverty's primary goal is to help organizations move beyond their mission and incorporate tobacco prevention interventions into their already established services.

Wisconsin Public Health Association
Association of public health professionals and advocacy organizations for strong public health measures; continues to be a strong advocate for tobacco control measures at the national, state, and local level.

Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation (WWHF)
The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Madison, but serving communities statewide. The Foundation provides education and outreach programs to women across the state in several areas of women's health, including tobacco use through their First Breath program. First Breath is a nationally recognized smoking cessation program for pregnant women. Services are provided to pregnant women across the state by participating prenatal care providers in local public health departments, tribal health centers, community health centers and private healthcare agencies.

Wisconsin Native American Tobacco Network
The Wisconsin Native American Tobacco Network (WNATN) is comprised of tribal representatives from eleven federally recognized tribes in Wisconsin. The goal of WNATN is to work toward improving the quality of life for tribal members through education, advocacy, and program development and implementation of tobacco prevention and control programs. WNATN aggressively pursues the prevention and elimination of commercial tobacco abuse, utilizing best practices while respecting the unique cultural and ceremonial use of tobacco.
