Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Waupaca Public Library
107 S Main St, Waupaca, WI 54981 (please be patient when parking as some roads in downtown Waupaca may be under construction and these 4-H activities are at the same time as the Farmer’s Market). Everybody is welcome to visit and participate in the activities for the day. The contest is open to all 4-H members, Cloverbuds, immediate family members of 4-H members, parents and leaders. The following are the contest categories: Largest Pumpkin – This year for the largest pumpkin contest we are asking that each participant take a photo with his or her pumpkin with a tape measure clearly noting the circumference. The largest pumpkins will be judged based on these photos; they may be emailed to penny.tank@wisc.edu or a printed copy may be brought to the contest on October 6th. Largest Sunflower Head – Heaviest Watermelon – Watermelons will be weighed at the library on October 6th. Decorated Pumpkin (divisions will be made based on entries). Carved Pumpkin (Children and Adult category). Check in/weigh in is from 12:30—1:00 p.m. and judging will take place at 1:00 p.m.
